I have not posted in a while and have been very busy with many projects
including the development and production of some of the projects that you have
asked about. So here is a little update on some new items we now have or will
very soon.
We recently have completed the development and production of the 1962 to early
65 3 seat 1500 Fairlady interior kits with all the vinyl and carpet including
the trunk and dash parts. The seat covers, all three, are in the works now as
well as replacement fiberglass seat bottoms and foam. Unlike most of my other
work done on developing the proper interior parts, these new parts will not
appear on any other website for sale until I am happy with all the parts fit
and finish and quality this has been a multi year project just like the work I
did to help create all the other interior items. I am working on a few other
new parts for our later interiors as well.
I currently have reproduced the early plastic horn button center plastic emblem
with the correct details and am working on the ways to paint the chrome and
black or the silver and red and blue centers for both early roadsters or pickup
truck horn buttons. If you are desperate and want to paint one yourself or want
to custom paint yours to match your car I will offer them bare so that can be
accomplished as well.
I have the late model windshield rubber now at the mold maker to get estimate
on the reproduction and since it is a very elaborate extrusion plus premade
corners it may not be a cheap part to do but we are half done if not more so It
would be encouraging to hear form people who may want one in the future so I
can estimate demand and I believe price will be very reasonable and will be
made with corners correct and of better quality rubber more impervious to
ultraviolet. Please contact me if you may be interested.
I am also working on several other improved rubber parts that seem to have
rapid deterioration problems but more on that later.
Many of you expressed interest in the reproduction of the fiberglass hardtops
(Japanese style that do not touch the paint jobs) they will be ready this year
and with increases in costs of fiberglass I will have no potential pricing
until the first few are out of the molds and we develop windows and rubber
seals. Any interest still in these as we will do high windshield first and then
low then 1500 if possible.
Also we have started on our line of replacement roadster fiberglass body parts.
Since we are now vintage racing 3-4 roadsters we will be creating most of the
common parts such as fenders and hoods and front valances. We already have
finished a second type BRE style spoiler and currently have very correct trunk
lids for the 1600/2000 all years.
Also have made both gaskets for the 69 teardrop marker lights the one to the
body and the one for the lens.
As is with most of the items I make and sell they are not big movers so they
are mostly custom order to keep pricing fair and although we will stock some
items it is best to call me with requests ahead of time so I may help you
better.
Thanks and have a great day
