If the ground strap is in place, and everything else
looks good: Try a "remote starter". Just a direct
connection from the battery to the starter solenoid
terminal.
If that works, you have a problem with either the
wiring or starter switch. On my '67 2000 I needed up
running a dedicated wire from the starter spade
terminal to the starter switched. Solved the problem.
On a '68 1600 I used one of Dean's (Fairlady Products)
replacement wiring harness sections (three terminal
plug to starter connections, which solved it).
