Yes, the choke size is the main issue. The SU's don't really have the
equivalent of chokes other than the ramp for the jets. It wouldn't surprise
me if the Weber is running something like 34 chokes or smaller.

But the distribution is important, too. Effectively, the bore spacing with
twin SU's is much wider than the bore spacing of a single twin-choke carb,
so each bore can be more centered over a pair of cylinders.
