Hey all, I'm still looking for the choke linkages for my 2000 with regular
SU carbs. What I need is the small rod linking the choke levers to the
throttle plate shaft - one for each side, mirror images of each other. I
also need the bar that goes onto the throttle plate shafts that the
carb-choke linking rod attaches to.
These parts are labled #53 & 54, and #82 & 83 in the schematic at Gordon's
garage:

I finally saw what these linkages looked like first hand a few weeks ago up
at Craig Halsted's place about an hour and a half north of me. Craig has an
amazing stash of about 25 roadsters at his place (his wife says he has 34
roadsters total!). Some cars are in the sheds that ramble on two sides of
his property and a couple are in nearly running condition. The rest are
scattered about around the sheds in various states of decay. He has these
linkages on the carbs of a couple of his non-running cars, but he's
extremely reluctant to part with these bits as I haven't convinced him to
sell me a set yet. (I'm still trying!) He won't even talk price!
My bet is that it's hard to get Craig to part with any roadster bits,
period, given the huge hoard of roadsters and parts lying about his
property. It's truly a roadster mecca and he and I will be trying to
organize a weekend fun run between his place and my fathers on the great
country, curvy mountain roads. Should be an awesome fall fun run for all the
Baltimore/DC/Richmond/NC/PA roadsterites. If anyone wants some hard to find
parts, Craid likely has 'em, but may not part with them. But it's always
worth a try, as he sold his only running roadster not too long ago.
Anyway, could one of the vendors or fellow roadsterites see if they have
these choke linkages? I need both sides. Thanks!
