Andy has pictures of my Gray Ghost in his picture gallery. A very talented
carpenter took out the dash and console and made a beautiful wooden dash and
console for it. I bought the Gray Ghost as a package deal of two engineless
cars with engines, transmissions, etc on the ground beside them. After
getting the Gray Ghost on the road I was tracing some wires and found that all
the wires going to the rear of the car had been clipped and replaced with
yellow wires. All of them. Hmmm. I then noticed that the engine bay was the
original gray color, but the trunk was red. Hmmmm. The ultimate tipoff that
this was not an original car was that the rear fenders had a pre-67 flare, and
the front fenders had a 68 flare. Hmmmmm. The frame matches the front of the
car, so it is legally a 68. The engine has been in at least three cars, but
it is a 2000, so only a purist would notice the numbers don't match. Andy and
I were very successful autocrossing the Gray Ghost until he made his own EP
roadster and I got a BMW with a little bit wider and softer seats.

The gray ghost is for sale if someone wants a nice-running '68. It will be at
the Fredericksburg swap meet on the 24th of July. I will be on vacation, but
my son Terry Jr. will be driving it down from Austin for the day. Ron Day is
organizing the Roadster/Z Car part of the swap meet, and you can get further
information from him. We hope to return the TDROC to an active club while we
are down there. Andy should have his E Mod racer to show, and there should be
lots of story swapping, in addition to any parts swapping going on.
