I was driving over Wolf Creek Pass several years ago in early Nov. when a
large buck was making a stand in the middle of the highway. I tried to creep
around him to the right (he seemed to be going left) and he suddenly charged
the car and jumped it. Heard a big thud and ducked. Saw the deer get up after
tripping over the car and take off to who knows where. Had to prove to the
insurance it was a deer, there was a tuft of fur on the roof by the rear
glass.
You will never forget an experience like that.
