Have you guys heard about Drifting or Do-rifto as our Japanese friends call it.
I know there was an article about it in Wired a few months ago.

If you haven't heard of it, basically you go out on a racetrack or skidpan and
instead of going for the fastest lap times you go for ther most spectacular by
trying to drive sideways for as long as physically possible. Even on the
straights the good drifters are fishtailing the whole way, setting up a nice
scandinavian flick for the real corner. The corkscrew at Laguna Seca would be
awesome to drift. Drifting is not kind to tyres.

Drifting has been big in Japan for a few years now. I know it is starting to
take off in the U.S. and it has also reached Australia. I took my Silvia off to
a Drift day on Saturday and had an absolute blast. I've put some pix up on my
website (the page is about 1Mb due to large pix):

Roadster Content:
When I get my roadster back on the road I think I'll have to see how good a
drift car it is.
