Thanks Damian,
        Here's one question that still needs to be sorted.  With the engine
cool should the rad cap let air into the overflow tank?  On the truck I can
squeeze the upper rad hose and hear the air come out of the overflow tank.
Is this correct?  Or does the rad cap not allow this until some amount of
internal pressure has developed?

$This is a conventional closed system with reservoir.

$It should balance and the rad should always be full.

$The cap has two valves, with the upper rubber seal for the vacuum valve and
$the spring holding the rated cap pressure. Each 1 psi raises boil point 3
$degrees F.
