Thanks for all the replies. I'll try adjusting the mixture first since as suggested. I seem to run a little warm (needle just on the right edge of the fahrenheit mark) although I have no fan shroud.. The dizzy weights and springs have been replaced w/ non smog items allowing me to run some advance, I but still need to run high octane to prevent pinging. Maybe I could also disconnect the vacuum advance as well, but it sometime pings when flooring it from 3k rpm, so that may not help. Steve 70' 1600 |
