I have a Sears/Craftsman Tach and Dwell meter that I use when tuning my
68-2000. I attach the red and black clips to the battery terminals, and the
other wire (green clip) to the wire on the distributor. I set the selector
switch to 4-cyl and "tach" and it works fine until I rev the engine beyond
2000 rpm's. When the needle gets to 2000, it then heads back the other
direction even though the engine revs just fine to higher rpms. There's a
scale switch for 0-1200rpm or 0-6000rpm that can be selected, I put it on
0-6000.
Any ideas why it might be behaving this way? I don't remember it doing this
before.
Thanks,
