I would like to sell my roll-bar. It is similar to but not an original
equipment bar with the following upgrades to make it qualify for vintage or
solo 1. I had it raised up 2 inches so it rides high enough that I, a 6
footer, can still be 2 inches under the top of the bar. I did this by taking
it to Andresen Engineering in Woodstock, Il and having it cut and a sleeve
inserted then all welded together. They also attached an additional 2 vertical
bars from behind the headrests down to the rear most attachment plates. I also
had an Autopower removable 45 degree cross brace installed from behind the
drivers head down to the vertical member behind the passenger at the floor. I
also had heavy duty steel backing plates cut that go under the floor. With all
of this, I can still raise the ragtop. The top is 1/4 inch above the bar.
Invested:
$200 purchase (I think)
150 welding and backing plates
70 cross brace
Asking $250 + shipping.
Shipping with anything of this size is always difficult but if you are in the
Midwest, we can work on meeting half way.
