Hey All,
When I bought my 67 2000 in November of 1999, the trunk lock was frozen and
had to be punched out. When I saw the trunk floor I was dismayed to say the
least. There was this strange black gunk all over the bottom of the floor
that had hardened into a strange shellaque-like substance. There was a
strange fist-sized depression near the access plate to the gas tank and
there was a quarter-sized rust hole near the filler neck.
I drove the car around for a year and never really got a straight answer
from anyone as to what happened to my trunk floor.
Well, I finally got my answer and it is kind of a moot point as the floor
has been cut out and replaced with a donor.
