My .02 is this,
If you're going with a 6 inch wheel, the 185 will fit the wheel better.
Also, although it may require bending up the lip on the rear fenders (it did
on my car), You can run a zero offset wheel in the 14x6 size with the 185
tires. That opens up you wheel choices quite a bit as most of the early Z
car fitments are 14x6 0 offset. Your speedometer will read a bit high with
the 185/60's but can be corrected with a different drive gear. I haven't
done it yet but I'm looking at putting 195/60-14's on the minilites I got
over the summer. These are 6.5 inches wide and have a +13mm offset. My
measurements indicate that they should fit (again my rear fender lips are
rolled) but I'm not 100% sure that they will clear the rear fenders with the
195's. Especially if I lower the car. If you go with the 195's, I'd be
inclined to find a little wider wheel with preferably a 20-25mm positive
offset.
As a rule of thumb, you need 3.5 inches of front spacing on the rear wheels
to fit under stock fenders.

I've also come to the conclusion that 195x60x14's are a good tire size....
And then today someone who I esteem as having good judgement tells me that
actually, 185x60x14's are better due to side-wall strength, etc etc,.. Gee,
I look on Tirerack.com and see that the Yoko Intermediaries are only $42
each on the smaller tire... So I'm game for the 185's... What do you say
group? I want performance without pain.
