Fred,
I assume that you used a 4 speed tranny mount rather than the 5 speed mount.
The 5 speed mount is about 1.5" lower.
In order to know where to bang out the tranny tunnel, mark the tranny tunnel
where the speedo cable comes out of the 4 speed BEFORE you remove the
engine/tranny and then measure where it comes out of the 5 speed and mark
the tranny tunnel where the cable will come out.
While Fred's solution is good I think a little preparation and planning to
bang out the tranny tunnel is better. No offense Fred.
