You can always flare the fenders and bring them down lower and leave the
stock setup. As was seen in the photos, Alvin already slashed one tire.

Lowering the car that much w/o modifying rubber stops is a recipe for
disaster. Go into a turn and ride the stops and then get off the turn and
the spring goes from infinity to whatever the spring rate is. A sure recipe
for unexpected understeer.

Several years ago there was a great article in Grassroots about springs, and
lowering and the attendant problems associated with it and what to do and
NOT what to do.
