This month it's a nice pic (the first one I believe in any US literature) of
the Datsun 1500 - the press release calls it a Datsun SPL-310 Sports Car and
there are no Fairlady badges on the artist's impression. It also describes it
as a "saucy ... low-slung high powered roadster".

Last week I was approached by a publisher over here for any historic photos
of the 1600 roadster - I've supplied all they need for the book (production
line pic, Bob Bondurant at the wheel of a 1600 etc), which will be titled the
Ultimate Sports Car - the section on the roadster will just feature the 1600
- no amount of e-mails or prompts when I was speaking to them would get them
to consider the 2000 or the 1500 in the piece - seems like they're way down
the line of producing the book and are pushed for deadlines. Shame.
