Art for Body VIN plates

I got the art mostly done for the VIN plates, but have a question.

Are all the plates the same size?

Going from the SPL plate I have, it's 2 11/16" x 3 15/16"

and the black image is no wider than 2 9/16" x 3 3/4"


When looking at the GIF's from datsun.org, the SRL plates seem to be a
little taller (2 15/16")????

Any help would be appreciated.
