Okay, I'll play, but stretch the rules a bit. In no particular order:

Ferrari 250 GTO, Cobra Daytona Coupe, any of the Ford La Mans GT cars.

While I can't comment on either the back or front seats in a '68 Pontiac
GTO, I had considerable experience in the '67 GTO that my folks let me order
for them. It was replacing a '63 Impala SS with bucket seats that my mother
hated. The only stipulation was that it have a bench seat rather than
buckets. The thing was incredible. The only that didn't come as I speced was
3.08 rather that 3.73 gears, due to the car having air conditioning.

With the 360 HP, 10 point something to 1 C/R, Quadrajet carb (small
primaries/BIG secondaries and the 3.08 gears it cruised at 70 well under 2K
and got close to 20 MPG, when my folks drove it that is. I enjoyed
unanticipated togetherness benefits from have the bench seat and a column
shift (3-speed A/T).

Thinking about it, I might just settle for having that car back myself, and
not because it would be worth a mint due to the relative rareness of the
bench seat GTO. Like a number of us, it was a fun part of a formative part
of our lives. Would you believe my folks traded it in just a couple of
months after Elayne and I bought our 2000 in '70? Yeap, on a Tempest station
wagon, and they got a whooping $1600 trade-in on it! Didn't even ask if we
wanted it, but of course $1600 was not too much less than what we paid for
our first 510 within the next six months or so. Ah, memories and missed
opportunities, and the frog keeps bumping.

Happy Holidays everyone.

Ron
