FYI - Tilton still makes the ring gear for the aluminum flywheels that they
made. I contacted them this summer and got a part number. They are $100,
and can ordered from Tilton distributors (Tilton doesn't sell direct). If
anyone is interested, I'll get the part number (it's on my email at work)
and publish it to the list. Come to think of it, they may still make the
flywheels too. Even if they don't, if someone has a shop willing to make
some aluminum flywheels with steel clutch inserts, the ring gear problem
would be solved.
