Thomas,

I have to beg to differ.  I have an alternator 64 model with Positive 
ground.  My understanding was that ALL 1500s were positive ground from the 
factory.  I could be wrong though about that point though.  I can tell you 
that the alternator mount has a rubber bushing in it on my car.
