Isn't this a sweet looking Roadster :-) >>
Hi Mike
Coincidentally, I'm in the middle of a building web pages on the above
roadster - Driver Rock Vest was an ex chief mechanic for the late 1970 and
1984 National Champ, Jim 'Fitzy' Fitzgerald - Rock runs Jim's #38 (Jim's Bob
Sharp ZX number) in his honour. In the Road Atlanta National runoffs in the
early 1990s, Rock was involved in a major wreck with a Porsche 356 under
Nissan Bridge whilst battling for the lead - every lap they were trading
paint - it was death or glory in the last lap - both cars were inevitably
totalled but the drivers were happily unscathed - the pics of the wreck are
being uploaded shortly - no wonder she now runs fiberglass parts. Fitzy, also
known for his hard driving, (he was known to trade paint on the PACE LAP)
would have been proud.
