That sounds about the right ballpark, for quality work.
I've heard good things about this shop- no first-hand exp., tho...
Any decent cam grinder will re-harden the lobes. It's probably not as
good as a factory hardening, but if they do a good job, it's adequate.
I haven't had any serious problem with regrinds in street motors...
When they regrind, they change the whole circumference of the cam, not
just the lobe. The diameter (base circle) is reduced slightly to
maintain the right amount of lift. It can be a problem, tho, to get the
valves adjusted correctly on a regrind... perhaps others could be more
specific to the 2L, as I've only dealt with the 1600...
