oil pump

I finally got the engine out of my 67 1600 and got it on the stand. I'm
replacing all the gaskets and generally cleaning everything up. Does
anyone know what potential problems to look for on the oil pump? I'd
hate to get the engine back in the car and find out I have no oil
pressure!

The pump itself looks pretty simple, but so did the idea of marriage
about 20 years ago. Is there a test I can perform on the pump outside
the engine? Any help would be appreciated.
