The Nissan V8 that is for sale is out of the Nissan President, which was
Nissan's big luxury car before they started building the Infiniti. The
first President came out in 1965, it had a 4 litre V8 (Y40 series
195hp). In the 1970s they made some slight changes to it's appearence
and raised it's capacity to 4.4 litres (Y44 series 200hp). You can see a
photo of the President at

A few Nissan Presidents came here to Australia. The Japanese consulate
had several Presidents and Nissan Australia bought a few in for their
executives in the 1970s. The V8s are available through some Japanese
engine importers over here for around $700. I have seen a 240Z fitted
with one. Nissan's other V8 was the Nissan Prince Royal. Only 20 of
these were made. They were built exclusively for the Japanese royal
family. They have a 6373cc V8 that is machined out of a solid block of
metal. The horse power figure quoted was "sufficient".
