We don't "whap" on things, we "adjust" them.  Read below:

0-20oz -         fine adjustment
20oz - 5 lbs -   medium adjustment
5 lbs - 12 lbs - heavy adjustment
12 lbs ++        serious motivator
C4 explosive     final solution
