I have most of the parts to build a replica of a 67.5 2000. There are a few
items that I need to know about though. Will the wiper assembly from a 65 -
67 1600 fit into a 67.5 directly, or will I have to modify it? I am missing
the 67.5 items. What kind of firewall insulation originally came on these
cars? This car was COMPLETELY gutted. Will an alternator mount from an
early 1600 work to move the alternator to the passenger side on a later 2000
engine? I have these items (and the little triangle support) but I have not
tried them.
Although the car is fairly solid from a rust perspective (except the chrome
naturally) there is a LOT of missing little annoyances (like all emblems and
side trim.) If anyone wants to donate to the cause of resurrecting a
roadster, let me know! The PO attempted to intall a small block chevy
(UGH!) and CUT the motor mounts off. If someone has a rusty hulk that they
would not mind cutting the mounts off of, I could use them. I will ask for
other assistance as time goes on!
