Greg,

No, you don't need a booster. The original brakes, when set up right (the way 
they were when new) work very, very well.  Look at some of the old comparison 
tests of similar cars and you'll see the roadster usually had the best 
stopping distances of any of them.  

The parts may be expensive, but that's only relative to the price you put on 
your car, your life, etc...

Deal with the suppliers on the list and spend the money you need to get them 
working right. You'll be glad you did.
