Hi peoples,
Yup - I am a big fan of the highly technical side of things. My main problem
is that I have been too busy with house building (and moving) to do much of
late.
For those who can make use of it -
New address 42 Kate Sheppard Ave, Torbay (Auckland, New Zealand) 09-4730949
H 4455509 W
Anyway - gearbox info - found a Toyota supra gearbox (W-55) mated up to a 1S
at the wreckers, so liberated it for later use (ie 'one day'). was in a mid
'80s 'Chaser' - kind of like a Crown/Cressida, but way underpowered (so why
fit the HD gearbox?)
So what? Well, this is the bell housing to use as the starting point for
mating a 3SGTE turbo 2 litre Toyota to a HD 5 speed. now all I need is a
close ratio W-57 and a short gear lever position tail housing, and I have
the ideal gearbox combination.
then need to find a free 3SGTE ! Then I will have to build a killer Eleven
replica! Would 250 horse be too much?
Regards
Phil
