Yesterday i was at a swap meet and found a fellow who was selling
an interesting unit...it is a olds215, 4 barrel version the also has an
aluminum adaptor plate which bolts up a porsche transaxle. He
claimed the entire unit is in good condition, taken from a porsche
that went a little bit too fast into a decreasing radius corner.
Any one know anything about this swap? This unit came from a
porsche 914. Does this same transaxle fit a 916? Phil baker sez
this assembly is worth quite a bit of $$ but he wasnt specific. The
guy was selling the whole thing for $1,200 which included the
engine, adaptor, and transaxle. Yes, I have his phone #.
