First TR3A purchased at age 16; 4 year old 1959 for $793.50 - (funny how
you remember some things.)
1) One of the last true 2-seat roadsters (=sports car). Unique and
unusual styling. Gutsy feel to the drive on any winding road;
regardless of speed. Cruises on the highway with the big boys. (O/D
preferred but not mandatory)
1b) The engine/drive train/mechanicals are sturdy and can withstand a
lot. Just considerate (not considerable) maintenance will do.
2) The weather leaks (but not a major problem if you drive it top down
and in good weather - my preference of course);
3) As others have said watch out for the rust. Floorboards; rockers;
lower edges of the wings (front & rear); bottom rear of inner wings
below where hood/wing/cowl meet; rear corners of the trunk & spare tire
area below;
