Big Brother and Big Marketing are both in favor of the opt out system; which
requires you to indicate that you do not want these "services". Privacy ad-
vocates and those who believe in "the right to be let alone" favor the opt in
system; you automatically are not put on the mailing list unless you speci-
fically request it...The cynic in me tends to believe that if there's enough
interest/money involved in getting your information; it's been got... ;-(
