Not really.  I redid all of the hydraulics about 10 years ago and had
planned on just doing rebuilds then, but after seeing how bad the
pitting was, decided not to bother.  Also aluminum requires a different
hone from steel that doesn't take off as much metal.  Besides, at that
time I paid less than $70 ea for all of the cylinders, so decided that
my time was worth more than the savings, especially if one or more
didn't hold up.  Removal/installation is big pain.  Not to mention
greater piece of mind.  I would consider rebuilding if I could get a
re-sleeve at a more reasonable price.

I suspect the reason for the clutch cylinders going is because the
system sat open for a couple of years while I was doing major work on
the car.  Fortunately this wasn't the case for the brakes.
