Yes, of course, it would have been the 2000 GT not Celica. I'm sure it was
the convertible, though.

Perhaps the one in the film is the one at Toyota HQ?

Celica? Are you talking about the Toyota 2000GT convertible? Toyota made a 
modest number of 2000GT coupes but only TWO convertibles. I'm told the only 
surviving car is in the lobby of  Toyota's corporate HQ.
