Jack,

Based on the info I have the 105 was the 1st of the Overhead valve engines.
It's predecessor was the 100E which was a flat head. It appears that the 105
was modified over the years to transition to the 109E and 116E and the 2737E.

                105E 109E 116E 2737E
Bore (mm) 80.97 80.97 80.97 80.97
Stroke (mm) 48.41 65.07 72.74 77.62
Cubic cap. 997 1340 1498 1598
Comp. ration 8.9 8.5 8.3 9.0

As to parts sources, the best is probably:

*** Dave Bean Engineering Inc., Ford performance engine parts. Great
636 East St. Charles St. information on the engine and Trans-
Star Route 2 mission. Fantastic catalogues for
     San Andreas, Ca. 95249 $10
        (209) 754-5802

All these engines were used in the Morgans. For some history on the Kent
engines, check out the article from Dave Bean on my Morgan web page:

Hope this helps.

John
