I would say go for the Bugeye.  It might or might not be more expensive 
than buying a Spridget--it sounds as if you already have the basis for a 
very nice car, whereas with the Spridget you have yet to buy the hulk.  
Even if it does cost more, the bugeye will be worth more in the end.
