Six months to a year? Heck, back when I was an economically challenged 
matriculant (poor college student) I'g grab a car like that and go on for 
several years! Now that I'm a successful gentleman farmer (struggling 
middle class husband and father with a run-down barn on my property), I 
find myself overrun with such vehicles, all again in about that same 
condition. The main difference is that now I don't rely on them as my daily 
transportation. That job goes to a S*b*r*, which is well on its way to 
approaching the same sort of condition as that cheap Spitfire. ;-(
