I have finally gotten around to installing an oil cooler I bought eons ago, and
had a question regarding direction of oil flow, which I need to know to fit the
thermostat correctly. I am getting conflicting opinions from two of the books
I'm
using and I know I've heard this discussed here before. Which outlet (rear of
engine or oil filter) should go into the thermostat input? I had the engine
running for some time and the oil seemed pretty hot yet was not getting to the
cooler so I must have screwed this up. A while back somebody posted an excellent
description of the path the oil takes through this engine and I, of course,
can't
find it. Thanks. Any NE sol'ers going to MG Day at Brookline June 5?
