The worst has to be AutoSource.  If the computer tells them "Pick your
butt and turn around three times and charge $685 for a spark plug"
that is exactly what they will do.  I was in AutoSource for the last
time ever when I was shopping for air tools.  The don't have them out,
just a bunch of empty boxes and the occaissional price tag on the
shelf along with a sign that says to get the tools at "Merchandise
Pickup".  I went up front to ask where merchandise pickup was and they
sent me to the parts counter.  The parts counter guy sent me up front.
I just went out the door.

By contrast, the best generic auto parts store would have to be
AutoZone.  Not only do they act like they know what you are talking
about when you mention MGB, they actually have a lot of the parts
(coils/oil filters/some hoses/etc.) at much cheaper prices than
imported auto parts places.
