I decided to shotgun all the same lists again with the wrap on this
because I got help from about 50 people from all different lists!

OK, I fixed it. Fuel no longer comes out of the intake stacks on my
45DCOE on the Renault-Europa after fast autocross runs.

I lowered the fuel pressure as far as the regulator would go. Seems to be
about 3 psi now.

I lowered the float level. I have no spec for this, as the carb appears
to be too new for the Haynes netter Bob Fogt broght over. The number on
it is <memory engage> 45DCOE152. The level looked ridiculously high to
me, so I lowered it "about this much".

I discovered I can match the 3-psi reading on my gauge by blowing through
it. I tried to blow through the float valve and was unable to do it, so I
figured it should hold the regulated pump pressure.

Car runs fine, goes like a bat on the autocross course (driver needs work)
and does not present a fire hazard after a run.

THANKS TO ALL WHO HELPED!
