Thanks for the input everybody. I managed to track down a source of
phosphoric acid (75% strength) at the local farmers shop (farm and fleet for
chambana locals). It costs $4 a gallon, and also has 'other cleaning agents'
which make up the othert 25%. It doesn't say what these are. It seems like
its used for washing out milk containers/tankers 'cos theres a piccy
of a cow on the front. Well, I'll try it this evening in the following
home brew...

phos acid 25%
alcolhol 25
water 50
drops of washing up liquid

Obviuosly I've got to do a few calculations to get the correct amounts of each
as I've only got %75 strength.

I'll report back on what happens...

Marcus

P.S. I was sorting through my Spit bits last night and it's suprising how
few parts there actually are. The guy I bought it off had helpfully sandblasted
quite a few bits already. I'm really gagging to buy a compressor, I did
calla rental place and they wanted $120 a day for a sandblaster!! over
5 days thats a compressor and a blaster!! I was looking to a gas powered one,
but they don't fall below $500 it seems. Anybody got a 2nd hand gas powered
compressor they don't need??.
