The previous owner of my GT6+ had to find and install all the SMOG gear
to get it registered, because the guy he bought it from had torn it all
off and thrown it away. I'm trying to get the car to pass smog again
and having some difficulty - not with the visual, but with the sniffer.
Basically the problem is that setting the flame to be Bunsen blue with
the Colortune isn't lean enough to get the CO down below 5.5%.

(It turns out that the PPO also swapped in adjustable needles, which
are nice - this means that I can set the carbs rich enough to make me
happy when autocrossing and use the air bleed screw to lean things out
for the sniffer and the street.)

In the process of doing all this, I noticed that one bit of the
original SMOG gear is still missing. This is the "switch" (really a
valve) that controls the vacuum to the retard can on the distributor.
It's meant to be actuated by the throttle linkage, so the retard only
happens at idle; as soon as the throttle is cracked, the retard vacuum is
removed.

As it is, I'm not getting as much advance as I'd like on part throttle.
I could disconnect this line (once I get my SMOG certificate) and drive
that way, but I have no objections to idling clean if it doesn't affect
drivability.

Anyone got a spare of these puppies that you'd be willing to part with?
