There's a story in the new Thouroughbred and Classic Cars that
I hadn't heard before, and since I found it amusing as well,
I thought I'd let you all hear it too.

Its from the days when Michelotti was first hired by Triumph
to do designs for them and they were trying to decide on a new
small sedan. Harry Webster was on a motoring holiday in Italy,
so he dropped in on Michelotti to get his ideas. After explaining
the parameters, Harry asked if he had any thoughts on the matter.
Well, of course, he did and immediately began drawing what
eventually became the Herald. Mr. Webster was so excited about
the plans that he talked Michelotti into drawing up a set of
full sized plans right then so that he take them back to Coventry
with him. Many hours later (well after midnight), adrenaline pumping,
he strolled back out to his car and suddenly remembered that his
wife and young daughter had been waiting out in the car all this
time (they were fast asleep at this point). Anyway, it was nice
to know tht I'm not the only who's completely oblivious to time
when I'm absorbed in something - especially a Triumph!
