Once again, time to dip into the pool of net.wisdom
I have tried and tried to get the temperature sender out of the lower thermostat
housing. After soaking it for a couple of weeks in a cup of WD-40, using a
torch, ice. and anything else I could think of, I ended up rebulding the TR3
body and getting the interior painted with the lower housing hanging on one side
of the bulkhead and the instrument pannel on the other. But I have to face it.
It needs to come appart so I can take out the guage so I can recover the
instrument pannel.
Next step is the cut off saw to cut the housing away from the sender. The TR4A
lower thermostat housing is available as a substitute for the no longer
available TR3 lower housing.
Anyone know what the differences are, if any between a post TS60000 housing and
a 4A housing???? Anyone have a good condition housing in their spares
collection that you might part with?
