OK, all this talk about the Jaguar XJ-S has gotten my interest up in
this car again...and it's just about time to get rid of the Toyota and
get a British daily driver...so, can anyone provide any details of what
to look for in an XJ-S. Good years, bad years, major differences
between years, common problem areas to watch out for, the usual. There
are a number for sale around here, most of them newer and out of my
proce range, but I saw one on a lot for $8650, but haven't had time to
stop and check it out though.
On another note, Ferrari of Los Gatos has an ad in the paper for a 1965
Sebring MGB. The ad said $30,000 invested, but didn't have a price.
They were closed when I drove by, but it was on the lot and was red with
a cream colored hardtop, no bumpers, a leather strap on the bonnet. I
couldn't see much else in the failing light, but I'll bring in the paper
and post more details if anyone is interested.
