On last weeks LBC trivia, there were a few attempts, but only one correct
answer to the question of the monocoque that barely preceeded the Elite:

Thats it, a little fibreglass monocoque driven by a 2 or 3 cylinder 2
stroke through a chain to the front wheels. Berkely, (oft pronounced
bark-ley), 1956-62. They used various engines, including an Excelsior, and
eventually a Ford 105E. Most had 4 wheels, but there was a 3 wheeler as
well. I beleive Bond had something to do with this Marque (as with many of
the little fibreglass LBC's!).
