My XJ6 is also an '86.  I checked the wiring diagram, and it indicates 
that the door lock fuse is in the AUX fuse box under the RH dash.

Interesting design: the XJ6 has 3 seperate fuse boxes (MAIN is under
the LH dash, AUX is under the RH dash, and the LAMP is under the 
bonnet).  Plus, there are a few in-line fuses scattered about.  The 
Prince did his magic on this one :-).
