They're both easy to remove and replace. You're lucky. I had to
replace one my Chevy van a couple years ago that was on the bottom of
the block; which meant no matter how thoroughly I thought the coolant
was drained, when I removed the old plug the stuff continued dribble on
me until I got the new plug in.
Remove the old plug by pushing it in. Generally they will rotate and
you can pry it out or grab it with a pair of pliers and pull it out.
Use a socket of the proper diameter to push the new one in. They're
dirt cheap at auto parts stores. Get one made of the same material as
the old one.
Also, flush out the old coolant and put in new. Apparently something
in the coolant becomes corrosive after a while and eats up these plugs.
You should change the coolant once every year or two. One of these
days I'm going to follow this advice myself.
