If "started with no problem" means it basically fired up immediately, I'd say
fuel starvation isn't a problem, since I'd assume there ought to be at least a
short delay while it pushed fuel through the system again once the pump decided 
to resume operation.

I'd suspect the ignition system, maybe the coil. Perhaps you could carry a
little test light with you to check for low-tension current to the coil and
to the distributor, and even a timing light (or ground a plug wire) to check 
for high voltage the next time these symptoms occur.
