Anybody got any good Triumph Specialties stories?

Didn't we do this about 9 months ago? I was doing the oil seal in the
timing cover on Sarah (my 4A) and somehow had forgotten to get a new
timing cover gasket. I couldn't find one at the local chain parts
house, Moss was backordered, and I didn't want to pay TRF to FedEx. So
I called around to the "junk yards". TS had one, I went down there,
found them, asked for the gasket, he went and got it.

And charged me $12 for it.

I needed it, so even though TRF only charges $3.50, I bought it and
vowed never to go back again.

I also remember asking him some question about the engine and getting
what seemed like a totally bogus answer. I ignored him, and discovered
later that it *was* a totally bogus answer, despite his assurances that
he'd rebuilt "hundreds of TR engines".

Like it says in mjb's parts suppliers list, I'm surprised that an irate
customer hasn't burned them down yet.
