Well, as you are no doubt tired of hearing, I moved from Wisconsin
to Albany, N.Y. over the weekend. The biggest part of the adventure was
(and still is for that matter) 'How do I move 4 cars ( 2 Triumphs, 1 Chevy,
and an International Harvester Scout...) from Wisconsin to N.Y.?'

After my last Adventure in Moving, I decided that I was going to move
them myself, so the plan was to put the Spit on a trailer behind the Scout,
and drive the TR-6 behind that. The Chevy had made the trek 2 weeks
before with a couple of friends.

Saturday morning dawned grey, light flurries, and cold. After looking
outside, and looking at The Weather Channel, and looking at how much tread was
on the 'rain tires'. I wimped. Just plain and simple wimped. There was no
way I was going to try to drive through Buffalo on those tires. So Steve
and I loaded up the scout with a workstation ('Nuther story'!), the toolbox,
tunes, boxes of clothes and such and set off with a bright green Spit following
close in our mirrors.

And much to our amazement, it stayed there the whole way home. 1193
miles. And the trailer/Spit/Scout combo averaged ~13MPG. Not too bad for
almost 6000 lbs of cars.

And the thing is, that people would wave & smile & thumbs up us
the entire way. It was fun. Going back and doing the same with the TR-6
should be interesting too.

        Anyway, back to work.

        iii
